Bryson Peterson
Bryson Peterson is a 26-year-old father of two kids. In high school, Bryson was very active. He was a member of the football and wrestling teams, which meant working out and eating a regimented diet were a part of his daily life. (Did I also mention that he’s my nephew?)
When Bryson headed off to college, however, he stopped exercising and began eating whatever he wanted. As a result, he watched as the numbers on the scale rose and he packed on pounds. Beyond physical changes, Bryson began to notice how his negative lifestyle choices were influencing other areas of his life. His energy level seemed to diminish with each extra pound he carried around. As the father of two small children, Bryson realized that he needed to make a change.
Bryson helped with the destruction and construction of my Anytime Fitness Oakland building. Once we were open for business, Bryson began a morning workout routine. He was faithful from day one. There were mornings he didn’t feel like getting up—especially when he was up the night before with his newborn son—but he did it anyway.
Bryson began making healthier food choices. Fried foods were replaced with tuna and whole wheat tortillas. Because of the changes he made in his life, Bryson’s wife Erin has been inspired to make positive changes in her own life by adopting a regular exercise program and adjusting her diet. Having a local fitness facility and encouragement from the family has been instrumental in helping Bryson finally make the lifestyle changes he needed.
