My weakness: I am a “pleaser.” I have a really hard time saying no to anyone. I also have a hard time pushing myself to my limits. I am a fitness instructor who pushes people all day long, but when it comes to my own goals, sometimes my mind gets the best of me.

What keeps me motivated: I am surrounded by people who keep me motivated. The clients I work with who want to make a positive change in their lives keep me motivated. My desire to push people keeps me motivated. Watching rising obesity rates in my community keeps me motivated. Overall, my passion for fitness, health and wellness is the drive for my motivation.

Working Out Sucks, but: the feeling of being tired and lacking energy sucks even more.

I feel my best when: I have just pushed people through a tough workout.  I feel my best when people come up to thank me for helping them make a positive change in their life. I feel my best when I am surrounded by passionate people who share the same goals.

If I could tell the world one thing about exercise and fitness it would be: that exercise is something we must incorporate into our daily schedules and lives. Don’t worry about what the person next to you on the treadmill is doing. We are all at different places in our lives and fitness goals.  If you give it all you’ve got there is no need to worry about anything else. No regrets.

The hardest thing I have ever had to overcome in my life: was going to nursing school.  Nursing school was the biggest mental challenge I have ever faced.  I would have rather run 100 half-marathons than endure two years of nursing school.
